Funded by the Saudi Arabian sovereign wealth fund, LIV has appeared on the scene without pedigree or tradition, but with a large enough wallet to poach some of the biggest names in golf from the PGA. In a desperate bid to save their sport from division and destruction in a crowded media landscape, the PGA has come to the negotiating table to merge with their new nemesis.
