Marc Dion, Secretary-General
Marc is a junior at the College, majoring in International Relations with a minor in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies. He has been involved in the International Relations Club at the College since his freshman year, and has previously been on &MUN secretariat as the Director of External Relations and Registration. He is involved in SEAC, the environmental organisation, the Monitor, an International Relations journal, and is a research assistant for one of the research groups on campus. He is looking forward to seeing all the great things that will happen at &MUN VI and seeing all of you there!
Molly Dinneen, Director General
Molly Dinneen is a junior International Relations here at the College. Over the past three years as a member of the International Relations Club, she’s staffed in every capacity; from rousing crisis committees to expansive general assemblies. Elsewhere on campus she’s found running through the trails or training as a Cadet with William & Mary’s ROTC battalion. She looks forward to meeting you all conference weekend!
Sam Desmarais, Under-Secretary General
Sam Desmarais is a sophomore at the College planning to major in International Relations and Economics. As a member of the International Relations Club, he has worked with the middle and high school conferences, and helped staff &MUN V. Outside of International Relations Club, he works in the Systematic Text Analysis for International Relations lab, is an associate editor for The Monitor, is a brother of Phi Sigma Pi, the honors fraternity, and is involved with Intervarsity Christian Fellowship. He is incredibly excited for &MUN VI, and cannot wait to see everyone there!
Suzie Bae, Assistant Under-Secretary General
Suzie is a freshman at the College, planning to major in public policy and economics. Outside of the International Relations Club, she is an associate editor for The Monitor, a copy editor for The Attache, and a member of a social sorority, Delta Delta Delta. In her free time, you can find her getting (too much) ice cream from Kilwins, binging on the Office, and reading up on current foreign policy. Suzie has been doing Model UN since her freshman year of high school and is excited to continue her MUN career by serving on the &MUN Secretariat!
Elizabeth Rosen, Director of Registration
Liz Rosen is a sophomore International Relations major at the College, with an additional interest in statistics. She has been involved in Model UN since high school and is excited to continue with it at William and Mary. During the summer of 2017, Liz conducted fieldwork in Liberia to test the impact of sport-for-development schools and aided a Cornell University team that researched employment opportunity for former child soldiers in Uganda and Rwanda. Outside of school, Liz can be found working on her latte art at the local coffee shop. She is looking forward to hosting a great conference for all of the delegates at &MUN VI!
Allison Thibault, Director of External Relations
Allison is a senior at W&M majoring in Government and minoring in Business Analytics and has recently enjoyed the opportunity to spend a semester studying and interning in Washington D.C. Moving around in a military family, Allie is happy to call W&M a second or third home. She has been actively involved with staffing and directing W&M’s model U.N. conferences since her arrival on campus. Allie is also involved in Alpha Kappa Psi, the co-ed business fraternity, and lifeguards at the campus recreation center. Around campus, Allie enjoys hanging out with friends in the many coffee shops on campus, running in Colonial Williamsburg, and eating mac-and-cheese from Wawa. She is looking forward to seeing you at &MUN VI and can recommend great places to get pancakes or cheese-fries!
Somya Shankar, Chief of Staff
Somya is a senior at the College, majoring in Chemistry and minoring in Public Health on the pre-med track. She is involved in several activities on campus, most notably serving as the Head Delegate for the William & Mary Model UN team last year, the social chair of the South Asian Student Association, a trip leader for a service organization: Branch Out, a researcher in a biochemistry lab on campus, and a member of a social sorority: Kappa Delta. In her (limited) spare time, Somya enjoys dancing, binge-watching TV shows, and petting the various dogs found around campus. Somya has been doing Model UN since her freshman year in high school, and looks forward to ending her expansive MUN career by serving on the &MUN VI Secretariat. She is excited to share the &MUN experience with delegates and staffers alike.
Sebastian Hughes, Director of Media
Sebastian Hughes is a junior at the College, pursuing a Film and Media Studies major. Sebastian is particularly interested in writing and editing, hoping to achieve a career in the film and television industry. He has been involved in with IRC since freshman year, directing at the middle school and high school conferences, and serving as the Director of Media for &MUN V. Outside of IRC, Sebastian is involved Alma Mater Productions, serving on the Film Committee, and writes screenplays in his spare time. Sebastian is excited to return to &MUN for its sixth iteration to continue serving its brand.
Austin Miller, Director of Technology
Austin is a Sophomore at the College of William & Mary, majoring in Computer Science. As a member of the WM International Relations Club, he has staffed &MUN V as a simulation team member and a crisis staff member. Along with this, Austin is a member of William & Mary’s Association for Computing Machinery, the WM Quidditch team, and is a co-president and founder of the Collegiate 4H Club at William & Mary. Austin is “V excited for &MUN VI” and can’t wait to meet all the wonderful delegates this year!
Kyle Lorey, Director of Events
Kyle Lorey is a senior at the College of William & Mary and is majoring in English. Originally from Kansas City, Kansas, Kyle joined the IR Club at William & Mary his sophomore year and has been an enthusiastic member ever since. He is also a member of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon Fraternity, as well as the American Parliamentary Debate Association. Kyle is aware of the fact that Redbull is objectively better than coffee. As Director of Events, he believes that &MUN VI will be #lit.
